I need help making this happen. Many hands will make this project go fairly quickly. Please let me know if I can plan on your aid!!

Last of the Defibrillators Presented to Evansville Schools

Evansville Mason's of Union Lodge #32 Present the last of 3 defibrillators (AED's)to our Schools.
Members of the Masonic Lodge and others made a commitment to raise funds so that we could furnish life saving defibrillators (AED's) in each school complex in Evansville. The presentation of this defibrillator at the JC McKenna Middle school on September 21st, was made possible with the help of donations not only from Union Lodge but from Mrs. Carl Schoenenberger, Brother Mason Bill Broeg and the Masonic Foundation of Wisconsin.
When we started the defibrillator campaign the Evansville Emergency Medical Service was asked for assistance on what type of unit was the best, where to get it and they also provided training for staff at the schools. Now the Evansville High School, Levi Leonard Elementary school/ Theodore Robinson Intermediate School and JC McKenna Middle School all have a defibrillators on site. A few years ago the Mason's also donated money to the Evansville Fire District for a Heat Thermal machine for detecting "hot spots" inside a building.
The Masonic Lodge in Evansville also raises money for these projects by having fund raisers such as: 4th of July Barbecue pork tenderloin sandwich sale, Pancake breakfast, Garage sale day food sale and coming on Saturday October 6th 2007 @ 5:00pm a Chili supper at the Masonic Lodge 104 W. Main St. on the corner of W. Main & 1st. St. All fund raisers are open to the public.
Pictured is from right to left is Union Lodge #32 Lodge members Secretary Thomas Beaver, Jr. Deacon Rusty Thompson, Dwight Redders Jr.Worshipful Master, JC McKenna Middle School Principal Bob Flaherty accepting the defibrillator and Art Phillips Jr. Warden & News Hawk.

Helping out a Brother Mason

On Sunday, 9-23-07 a few members of Union Lodge #32 got together to help out a fellow brother mason that had some water damage. Dwight Redders, Tom Beaver, Art Phillips, Russ Thompson, Brandon Elmer, Eon Lathom and Bill Lathom met at brother Thompsons house at 8am. Brother Thompson has some damaged carpet and boxes in his basement from all of the rain we had in August.

I had heard brother Thompson needed help to get this mess cleaned up. I stopped by and had a nice visit with him one evening. Brother Thompson is getting up there in age and need a little help. I even think I have talked him into coming to lodge next time. I told him I would stop by and pick him up.

I talked to our Worshipful Master Dwight and the word was spread to our brothers about the clean up day. The work went quick and was cleaned up in no time. Brother Tom Beaver used his truck and it all was hauled away.

Brother Thompson was very grateful for what we had done. This is what we Masons are all about. We help out our fellow brother Masons.

Take Care,

Wow, What a Fish Fry at Milton Lodge #161

I hope you took the time to go to our fellow brothers fish fry at the Milton lodge yesterday. My wife and I along with some friends from Milton made it there around 6pm. We sat right down and loaded up the plates. Cod, Smelt, Cole slaw and that great homemade potato salad.

I ate it all and then some. Lots of fellow brother lodge members were there along with many people from the public. Brother Dwayne Huber took a minute from the deep fryer in the kitchen to come out to our table to say hi and that they had a great turn out. He said they were steady from the start. I congratulated him on some wonderful fish. It was like a shore lunch of sort ya know, you could pick up the fish and eat it with your hands. Oh so good.

Great job Milton lodge on another fine fish fry. P.S. I tried to get my wife to put the bowl of potato salad in her purse but, it was too small. DARN.

We Passed The Gavel

On Wednesday night Union Lodge #32 traveled over to Edgerton to pass the traveling gavel to Fulton Lodge #69. This was my first visit to the Fulton lodge and I was very impressed. This big old lodge building looks as good from the outside as well as inside. A very nice entryway leading into a large dinning room and kitchen.

We were welcomed by our fellow brothers of Fulton Lodge and we all had a nice visit with the members before the meeting started. I always like to meet new people and especially new brothers. I hope we continue to travel to other lodges.

When you go upstairs to the meeting room the character just continues in this lodge. Many antiques(which I love), and a lodge room that the members keep looking great.

We had a nice meeting and Fulton's Worshipful Master said they had a new member getting ready for his first degree। Lodge was closed by Union Lodge #32.

Fish Fry At Milton Lodge #161

April 6, 2007 starting at 11am and going until all 600lbs of fish is gone. The brothers will be serving cod and smelt with all the fixings. All you can eat for only $9.00

Let me tell ya, I attended last year and could hardly walk out the door after I put away a whole lot of fish and fixings. My wife and another couple from Milton attended this fantastic fish fry. Our brother Dwayne Huber is the lead man on this meal. Dwayne knows how to make the fish. It takes the effort of a lot of the brothers from Milton lodge to make this work and they make it work just fine.

Please plan to attend, I wouldn't steer ya wrong, this is a great fish fry.

See ya there,
Brother Art Phillips

Master Mason Degree Held

On March 17, 2007 (2) brothers from Union Lodge #32 Brendan Deneen & Tracy Strain Evansville and (1) brother from Western Star Lodge #55 Brian Kachlic Janesville held a Master Mason Degree in Evansville at the Masonic Temple। More than 30 fellow brothers were in attendance including members from Milton Lodge #161, Cooksville Waucoma Lodge #90 and Beloit Morning Star Lodge #10. We had the pleasure of having Right Worshipful Senior Grand Warden of the State of Wisconsin John Wilke and our District Deputy #9 Paul Huber participation in the exceptional degree work that was done by fellow brothers from all 5 lodges. It was also a joy for our fellow brother Roy Rosser to be present and see his grandson Brendan Deneen raised to a Master Mason. A fine lunchon followed with corn beef and cabbage prepared by our secretary Tom Beaver. A picture and this article was sent into the Masonic Journal.
